Ash slipped, injuring her arms and legs

Popular Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai suffered an injury during a film shoot in the historic town in Bagalkot district of Karnataka on Friday.

Rai was shooting for renowned director Mani Ratnam's new Hindi film Guru, starring Abishekh Bachchan. She was rehearsing cycling for a song sequence when she slipped, injuring her arms and legs. Following the incident, shooting had been suspended.

Bagalkot Superintendent of Police Padmanayan said that the injury was minor and the shoot was likely to continue in a couple of hours.

Dr Kanthi, a local medical practitioner who treated Rai, said the injuries were minor and there was nothing to worry.
