Two senior opposition leaders involved in negotiations with communist rebels were arrested Friday, a party official said.
Jhala Nath Khanal and Bamdev Gautam, both of the Communist Party of Nepal, were arrested at airports. Khanal was detained he arrived in Katmandu on a flight from India, and Gautam when he tried to get on a flight in southern Nepal to return to the capital, said Amrit Bohara, a top party official.
