Hollywood star Goldie Hawn plans to sizzle in a movie set in India titled ''Ashes to Ashes''.

Hawn told media reporters she had written a comedy about a New Yorker who travels to India to bury her husband's ashes. She planned to act in and direct the comedy, she said.

"Though she loses the ashes on the way, the film is about the meaningful lessons she finds instead," said Hawn, who is a frequent traveler to the Indian subcontinent.

The 60-year-old actress, who is in India on a private visit, said her partner Kurt Russell would be her co-star.

Hawn is well known across the world for her film and TV work including the 1960s comedy show "Laugh-In" and movies such as "Private Benjamin" and "The First Wives Club."
