I’ve never been so embarrassed in my life : model Carol Gracias’s as her halter-neck fell to the waist in Lakme Fashion Week
“While we were doing the fittings, I had specifically asked Sehgall to tighten the strap of the halter neck, but when I wore it for the show, I realised it wasn’t done. My helper tried to use a pin, but the fabric was too thick and it didn’t go through,” Gracias said. “I’ve never been so embarrassed in my life.”
Sehgall said it was an accident. “She dealt with it beautifully and finished my show. I’m obliged,” she said, adding that she had checked the garment after the show and nothing was wrong with it.
Model Bhawna Sharma blamed Sehgall. “We spend hours in fittings with designers before the show and they have all our measurements. After that, it’s the designer’s fault if a disaster like this happens,” she said.
“Another girl would have been shattered,” said Marc Robinson, the show’s choreographer. “After the show, I gave Carol a big hug. Not to console her, but to say that she’d done her job well.” he said.
Gracias said she would never model for Sehgall again. “If it wasn’t her fault, I wouldn’t mind, but she’s not even serious about her own work,” she said. BOLLYWOOD ARTICLES
