Artificial currency manipulation and fuel subsidity - Chidambaram says inflation contained

Finance Minister Palaniappan Chidambaram said on Monday that inflation had been contained despite high global energy prices.

Earlier, Chidambaram said he was reducing import duty on polyester chips and carbon black to 10 percent while replying during the budget debate in Parliament.
