India wants the West to ensure energy . Unfortuneately developed nations themselves are reeling with energy shortages.
India has urged the developed nations to take up the challenge of ensuring global energy security as it had become fundamental to the quality of life everywhere.
"With the vast majority of the global population spread in marginal and emerging economies, the challenges of energy demand and its affordability become fundamental to the quality of life," Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dinsha Patel said addressing the G-8 energy ministers here.
