Luxembourg's foreign trade minister to visit India to explain the opposition to Mittal's for Arcelor

India is dead wrong in getting involved in Mittal's bid for Arcelor! Every Indian expatriate should work with their country of residence and not cry like a baby and involve Indian Government!

Luxembourg's economy and foreign trade minister Jeannot Krecke will visit New Delhi this month to explain the opposition to a hostile bid by Indian-born tycoon Lakshmi Mittal's company Mittal Steel for Arcelor.

Krecke is scheduled to arrive on March 28 and meet Trade Minister Kamal Nath, Finance Minister Palaniappan Chidambaram and Steel Minister Ram Vilas Paswan to discuss the issue, the agency reported.

The Luxembourg government is the biggest single shareholder in Arcelor with 5.6 pct.

Indian Commerce minister Nath has accused European governments of discrimination and press reports in New Delhi have said that the government may consider punitive action against Luxembourg if it blocks a deal through legislation.
