Space agencies are apparently getting ready to fight any extraterrestrial type 1 civilizations with space based weapon systems. A big debate is in place on how effective are terrestrial type zero primitive weapon systems compared to that of type 1 and above intelligent extraterrestrial civilizations.

Directed-energy weapons take the form of lasers, high-powered microwaves, and particle beams. Their adoption for ground, air, sea, and space warfare depends on using the appropriate electromagnetic spectrum.

The biggest push for space based weapon systems is in particle beaming technologies. International space warfare will eventually involve particle accelerators in the space and an attempt to break into the Hyperspace.

The directed-energy weapons may match the extraterrestrial type I weapon systems. Some think tanks believe, major Governments have pact with extraterrestrial civilizations and with indusction of new direct energy weapon system, the terrestrial Government may start challenging the extraterrestrials.
