Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani has provided dome interesting hints I recent days. According to media reports, Iran has acquired technology to enrich uranium and plans to resume enrichment should its nuclear program be referred to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), chief Iranian nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani said March 5.
Based on this statement, one can assume, Iran possess the Uranium enrichment technology for quite some time. The father Pakistani nukes “Khan” targeted Iran, Libya and North Korea for making a clandestine business selling nuke technologies to these countries.
Iran is oil rich and possesses high tech engineers many of whom have been trained in America and other countries. The infrastructure is better than Iraq and the oil rich nation is strategically positioned next to Afghanistan – quite near nuclear powered Pakistan.
International think tanks believe, like North Korea, Iran possesses some nukes but they may not be ready to deliver it on the right target.
The U.N.'s International Atomic Energy Agency meets March 6 to decide whether to refer Iran to the UNSC.
