India seems to plunging into the biological trap of Avian Flu.
According to media reports, In the backdrop of outbreak of bird flu in the country, about 1,000 chickens have died at a poultry farm in Etawah District of north India's Uttar Pradesh due to suspected fungal infections. There was no indication of bird flu and fungul infections appeared to be the cause of death of the chickens last evening, District Veterinary Officer O.P. Singh told reporters.
The sample of dead chickens were being taken to the laboratory for testing to ascertain the cause of death. Singh said there was no report of death of chickens from any other poultry farm in the district and a team of veterinary doctors was examining the farms.
