Fast food chain KFC has announced plans to expand its operations in India and the reopening of a restaurant in New Delhi after almost a decade

KFCs presence in New Delhi ''will be an important step'' in extending its presence.
It is a further sign of inetrnational businesses recognizing India as a major hub.
According to media release, The company is investing around 55,000 usd in opening the restaurant in New Delhi, and similar amounts on 14 other outlets around the country.
"This year KFC plans to expand its presence... at an unprecedented pace. We should have 25 restaurants (through franchises and self-owned restaurants) by end 2006 versus the 11 we had last year," Kohli said.
