India Capital Fund receives ''Best Single Country Fund of the Year'' award at the 2005 Asia Hedge Awards in Hong Kong

India Capital Management Ltd., an US based institutional investor fund, has received the "Best Single Country Fund of the Year" for its India Capital Fund at the 2005 Asia Hedge Awards in Hong Kong.
"We are very happy to receive this major award. We have been investing in India for more than 11 years, probably the longest continuous track record for an offshore fund investing in India," the portfolio manager of the India Capital Fund, Dr Jon Thorn said.
"Also, this is the first major achievement award to be won by and India Fund. India has now arrrived on the global asset allocation radar screen. It has the best investible growth in the world," a Xinhua PR Newswire-Asianet quoting Dr Thorn said from Hong Kong.
The India Capital Fund came first out of the five other top nominated single country funds, covering regions such as China and Korea. The Fund was also nominated for the same award in 2003.
