It is a great day for Indian cricket! But behind the scene there are plenty of reasons to be sad. India in recent days has only won matches again teams like Bangladesh or Zimbabwe – the coutries that are just learning how to play cricket. Bur the ecstasy is on! India won the test series between India and Zimbabwe 2-0, after winning the second test match by 10 wickets. The man of the match and man of the series is Irfan Pathan, helped India wrap up Zimbabwe’s second innings for 223 in 55 overs and first innings for 161 in 44.2 overs. Pathan picked up seven wickets in the first innings and five wickets in the second innings. The top scorers for India were Rahul Dravid who scored 98 runs and Gautam Gambhir who got out for 97 runs in the first innings. For the Home team, Blignaut scored 84 runs from 93 balls without getting out. Another batsman who helped the Zimbabwe team get somewhere is Masakadza who scored 71 runs from 127 balls. He was given leg before off Pathan’s ball. Zimbabwe bowler Heath Streak took six wickets in the first innings.
