Pakistan starts massive Air Force exercise while opening the diplomatic door to Israel

Pakistan has started its first dialog with Israel in secrecy. At the same time Pakistan has started to show its mussel by initiating the massive military exercise especially with Air Force.

India and Israel have posed a threat for Pakistan. Pakistan as a nuke power of South Asia is showing its strength while opening the diplomatic door to Israel.

The Pakistani air force will begin a major month long exercise over the Sept. 3-4 weekend, Air Force Deputy Chief of Operations Shahzad Chaudhry said Sept. 1. Pakistan's entire air force -- including all combat aircraft and radar systems -- will take part in the exercise, the first of its kind in a decade.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri met with Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom in Istanbul, Turkey, on Sept. 1 in the first publicly acknowledged talks between high-ranking officials of the two states. Islamabad and Tel Aviv do not have formal diplomatic relations, though Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf has in the past raised the possibility of public debate on extending diplomatic recognition to Israel.
