India and Russia is determined to put Islamic terrorists on notice. The two countries plan to fight terrorism jointly on the basis – every terrorist is a terrorist.
India and Russia will conduct large-scale air and land military exercises in the Thar desert in northwestern India mid-October, Iranian news agency IRNA reported Aug. 27, citing senior Iranian military sources. The weeklong maneuvers are to help the two nations better work together on counter-terrorism operations in third world countries, particularly in Central Asia. Combat aircraft, attack helicopters, Russian specialized anti-terrorism weapons and equipment are to be used, and paratroopers will be present.
