India – China – Russia massive joint military exercise in 2006
Anil Rane
Aug. 26, 2005

Asia is planning the biggest military exercise in the world. India, China and Russia will conduct the biggest ever-military exercise.

According to media sources, Russian, India and China may hold a three-party military exercise in 2006, a high-ranking source in the Russian Defense Ministry told Interfax news agency on Friday.

"We may be able to hold such an exercise within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization [SCO] next year [2006]," the source said.

"We are discussing the possibility of military exercises similar to the Russo-Chinese Peace Mission 2005 drill. We hope that we will hold such exercises next year," he said.

"One cannot rule out that by the next year the SCO countries, including those who have the status of observer, may join Russia and China for joint exercises. It would be good for Russia, India and China to stage a joint exercise," the source added.
