India plans to open more routes in India-Pak Kashmir routes – is India taking unnecessary risks where the terrorists can take advantage?
Anil Rane
Aug. 24, 2005

India may be taking too many risks in making new roads in Kashmir open between India and Pakistan. The terrorists will eventually strike and make a mess of the situation.

Expressing satisfaction at the progress of peace process with Pakistan, External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh here on Tuesday said his country was looking to start more communication links including the opening of the Ponch-Rawalakot and the Kargil-Skardu routes.

He also announced that Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will meet Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York next month.

Natwar Singh was supposed to launch the India-Pakistan Forum of Parliamentarians (IPFP) here. But, he could not make it to the function organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICC) due to death of a close relative.
