US-South Korea joint military exercise a warning to North Korea against any misadventure

The United States and South Korea will proceed with joint war games despite North Korean claims that the exercises are preparation for a pre-emptive strike against it, the U.S.-South Korea Combined Forces Command said Aug. 18.
International think tanks believe this just reminds North Korea that US is serious about their nuke disarmament.
The exercises, featuring computer-simulated war scenarios, will take place in South Korea Aug. 22 to Sept. 2. They are designed to improve joint coordination in operations in defense of the peninsula.
