India concerned about weak growth of the agricultural sector - a matter of great significance for India to stay as a free nation
The agricultural sector is the backbone of Indian economy and the means of feeding the billion population.
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said Aug. 15 he was concerned India's agricultural sector is not growing rapidly enough, and said he would initiate a new green revolution in the country. Singh added that if India's economic growth level could be maintained for the next 5-10 years, the nation could possibly eliminate poverty, ignorance, hunger and disease.
The weak growth in Agricultural sector is giving reason to believe that communists and socialists will eventually come in power in India replacing Indian oligarch supported Congress and BJP parties.
The people in the rural sector are unhappy. Many commit suicide as they cannot pay their bills and Indian oligarchs take them for a ride.
Indian Government must focus on Indian rural sector and the peasants to keep India a free and prosperous nation. The problem is that the politicians in India like any other country, take the votes from common people and then when they come to power they work for the rich influential oligarchs.
Dr. Manmohan Singh, the current Prime Minister, is one of the most educated leaders in the free world. He is also honest and stubborn. He can make a difference by looking at the needs of the common people and nit the rich oligarchs of India.
