Russian retaliation will be strong and targeted according to sources from Russian military.

Chechen insurgents armed with grenades and machine guns ambushed a team of Russian military officers Aug. 14, killing the commander of Chechnya's Urus-Martan region and four other officers, and seriously injuring another security official, Russia's NTV television reported. The officers were responding to a militant attack against the home of a local official in the village of Roshni-Chu.
