Al-Queda’s Iraq operation is being steered from Northern Iraq. Al-Queda has set up its terror camps in the Northern Iraq from where they are planning export terror agents all over the world.

A suspected al Qaeda militant arrested in Turkey on Aug. 10 said under questioning that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is hiding in northern Iraq, the Ankara daily Referans reported Aug. 14. Luia Sakra, who is charged in Turkey with planning attacks against Israeli cruise ships, reportedly said he was trained to handle explosives in camps run by al Qaeda in northern Iraq. Sakra also is believed to have played a key role in November 2003 bombings in Istanbul that killed more than 60 people.
