Girls for decades have little freedom and respect in Delhi. They are sexually assaulted in the bus, in the street and in everywhere. Young girls are scared to come out freely in India’s capital because of fear of rape and sexual assault. And the Government is sitting tight watching the fiasco for years as girls lose their dignity in open daylight. It is time for the Indian Government to show some resolve and strength. The serial rapists of Delhi need to hand capital punishment. It is time for India to stand up and clean Delhi rapists one for all.

According to media reports, in yet another incident of gang rape in the capital, a minor girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by six men in a private bus in southwest Delhi in the wee hours today.

All six accused have been arrested, police said.

The 16-year-old girl was lured by an acquaintance Narender to the bus in Najafgarh area at about two a.m. and repeatedly assaulted by him and five of his friends who were in the vehicle.

Police reached the spot on the basis of an anonymous call and apprehended the accused.

The girl, a resident of a nearby slum cluster, was missing from home for some days.

This was the third incident of gangrape in a vehicle in the last few months.

A Delhi University student was abducted by four men in Dhaula Kuan and assaulted in May while a resident of Mayapuri was gang raped last month. Both incidents took place in southwest Delhi.

Two persons, both named Narender, one Vikas, Shekhar, Rajbir and Sandeep have been arrested for allegedly gang raping the girl, police said.

They included the driver and helper of the private blueline bus in which the incident took place.
