Criminals of 2700 murders roam the streets of Delhi with Government’s power behind them – BJP starts agitation
NDA led by BJP took to the main streets in India to protest the Congress leaders’ role in Sikh riot in 1984. Agitated over the Government's refusal to take action on the Nanavati Commission's findings on the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, the opposition NDA today decided to stall proceedings in both Houses of Parliament demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Minister Jagdish Tytler. Over 2700 hundred people were killed. But the possible criminals are all roaming in Delhi with Government power behind them!
"We have decided to disrupt proceedings in both Houses and vociferously demand the resignation of the Prime Minister for trying to brush under the carpet the findings of the Commission by approving the Action Taken Report and that of Tytler for his indictment by the Commission," BJP Parliamentary party spokesman Vijay Kumar Malhotra told reporters after a meeting.
"The Congress has betrayed the nation twice. First, by its involvement in the 1984 riots and secondly, by seeking to cover up the findings of the Nanavati Commission," Malhotra said.
According to political pundits, BJP for the first time since losing power have been able to put Congress Party of India on total defensive on the issues such as issue of IMDT, followed by the Maharashtra floods, the blockade in Manipur and now the Nanavati Commission report.
