Al-Queda and Talibans seeking for advanced weapon systems from all over the world
Sonia Joshi
Jul. 15, 2005

Talibans and Al-Queda are looking for very advanced weapon systems from advanced countries in the world including Europe and Russia.

The insurgent movement in Afghanistan possesses anti-aircraft weapons of special types, a Taliban commander in Afghanistan told Al Jazeera on July 14. The commander, identified as Dadallah, said that the Taliban are seeking even more powerful weapons. In June, a U.S. helicopter was shot down, killing all 16 soldiers on board, with what Taliban commander Abdul Latif Hakimi described as a "new type of weapon."
