Why did Provincial Armed Constabulary jawans allow the Jihadists to go past them to blast Ayodhya temple? Government needs to respond
The smell of conspiracy is in Ayodhya. India is shocked to learn that "If the Provincial Armed Constabulary jawans responsible for the security of the ''Yellow Zone'' which includes the area near the iron railings had challenged the militants after they forced their entry by triggering a blast, they would not have been able to reach within striking distance of the makeshift temple," deputy superintendent of CRPF and in-charge of security of the temple, Saudan Singh, told media.
The PAC's "failure" to engage the terrorists enabled the militants to reach within 25 yards of Lord Ram's idol.
The Government needs to answer. Local people in Ayodhya say the PAC jawans did not do much to prevent the terrorists. Why? Government of Dr. Manmohan Singh and the local State Government of UP must answer.
According to media sources, militants would not have come within striking distance of the makeshift Ram temple at Ayodhya if the PAC jawans on duty near the barricade had engaged them after the ultras blasted their way through the iron railings, a top CRPF official said here on Thursday.
"There were two PAC pickets on the northern side of the complex in addition to a watch tower (no. 12) to keep a vigil on the movements in the area. But they did not respond when the militants struck," Singh said.
PAC officials at the site of Tuesday's terror attack, however, were not willing to comment.
Senior Superintendent of Police Avinash Chandra denied charges against PAC and said both CRPF and PAC worked together to fight the terrorists.
