Mallika’s lip locked French kisses – a learning lesson for Rekha!
According to Internet sites, Rekha may have more than 200 films to her credit but she still needed tips from ''''Kiss Miss'''' Mallika Sherawat when it came to doing a lip-lock sequence in Bach Ke Rehna Re Baba. Mallika and Rekha, who played a pair of confidence tricksters out to take wealthy men for a ride in the recently released sex comedy, apparently got along like a house on fire despite the difference in age.
"We were shooting a scene where Rekhaji is supposed to kiss Paresh Rawal. Since the entire unit was present on the sets, I could make out that she was embarrassed. I watched her discomfort for sometime and then went ahead and did it. I taught her the art of kissing. And then she did it without hesitation," claims the Bollywood Bombshell.
According to Mallika, she shared a very comfortable relationship with her senior partner: "Although I was a little hesitant when I was first saw the script, Rekhaji really cooperated a lot and made me feel at ease. Having worked for more than 30 years and in over 200 films, she has some memorable performances to her credit. In fact I can’t think of anyone who can match her prodigious acting talents. She's looking as glamorous as me in Bach Ke Rehna..."
Fresh from her conquest of Cannes where she accompanied international action star Jackie Chan, Mallika dismisses rumours that no mainstream actor in the Hindi film industry wants to be cast opposite her because of her raunchy image.
"That's just not true! The only thing is that I can’t dance to the tune of big actors. You know I am working with Mr Amitabh Bachchan in one of my forthcoming films. In fact I like working with older men," she quips.
The Jat beauty admits she has hired musclemen to keep over-eager fans at bay. "When I was in Cannes, I had Jackie Chan to protect my body. But today when I am back in Mumbai I need some robust guys to do the job! I have therefore employed two bodyguards to take care of me whenever I go out," she says.
Despite the brickbats from her detractors in recent times, Mallika refuses to be apologetic about the kind of roles she does. "Look, I am young, beautiful and sexy and therefore have no problems doing glamorous roles. I don’t look for deglamourised roles because I know I am hot!" she insists.
