Rajdhani Express track booby trapped – blast averted – Naxalites or Islamic Jihadists?
The authorities are pointing fingers at the Naxalites in Dhanbad. But sources say, that call is premature and as a matter of fact a much larger conspiracy may be in hand. Al-Queda, Pakistan’s ISI and other Jihadists are now operating in India in collaboration with Babar khalsa, ULFA and the Naxalites. The purpose is to show that it is local incident carried out by local militants or insurgents. But they are actually working to supply these militant organization in India to blow up the Indian infrastructure slowly and steadily.
Dhanbad area in recent days has seen enormous number of Bihari and Bengali Islamic Jihadists finflitrating from Bangladesh.
According to media sources, an attempt to blow up the 2301 UP Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, by suspected Naxalites, was averted near here by the timely action of the RPF personnel.
The RPF men detected 15 kg explosives in a gas cylinder lying on the tracks between Chechaki and Chaudhary band stations on grand-chord line under Dhanbad division of the East central railway last evening. The cylinder was attached to four batteries with 20-metre long wire, divisional railway manager A K Patnayak informed reporters on Friday.
Barely 10 minutes before the Rajdhani Express was to pass the track, the Dhanbad control room received a message from superintendent of railway police directing officials to suspend rail traffic, as bombs were suspected to have been planted on the track by Naxalites.
Following this, the Howrah Rajdhani was stopped at Gomo and the Delhi-bound Sealdah Rajdhani, scheduled to follow the Howrah Rajdhani, was halted at Dhanbad, Patnayak said.
Trains including Kalka Mail, Doon Express, Jodhpur Express and Mumbai Mail were stopped at various points, he said.
A combing operation was launched leading to the detection of the explosive within half an hour. Train movements resumed at 2.30 AM, over six hours after receiving the alert message.
Patnayak said the incident would be probed by joint teams of rail and state vigilance.
