Modern day human making factories - Elite middleclass Indians in India having many children especially girls to earn more American dollars through outsourcing
Madhuri of Delhi is planning to have six children and hopefully they are all girls. Girls in India make big money these days working for call centers receiving calls from America and Europe. In older days, Indian families used to have many children and hoped for boys. The men used to work in the field as farmers earning money for the family. Now a days the gender has reversed. The girls make real good money especially working the night shift when in America it is daytime.
The school systems in India are also commercialized. They are designed to teach children English and computer skills making them fast ready to earn big American dollars and UK pounds. The ladies in their late teens or early twenties join these massive call centers after they complete their schools. Some go for college but a college degree is not necessary these days to make a fantastic living in India. All you need to know is how to speak and comprehend English the language of US or UK.
Madhuri of Delhi is planning to have six children with a hope that they will earn big money for her family and when these children grow up, she will live happily all contributing to the family. She has two girls going to school. She hopes others are girls too. In India parents make children with a hope they will contribute to the family and the extended family will prosper enormously.
The call center girls get big salaries for working at night receiving abusive calls from America and Europe. But they never really see their pay check for themselves. Their family gets it and uses it for all in the family. The girls receive a stipend type token money for hand expenses.
Education in India is not cheap especially in the elementary and high school levels with full English medium in the metropolitan cities. The parents send their children to convent schools run by private enterprises or missionaries in India. Jyotsna of Kolkata sends her children to Lamarts for Girls. These schools teach fluent Indian English. The students graduating from these schools are ready to work for American call centers earning big dollars. These schools cost a lot of money but the pay off at the end from America is so high that it is worth it. Kareena and Madhav of Bangalore says it is their big investment to send the kids to good school and make good American dollars when they grow up and work for multinationals. No other investments will provide such big returns.
Working in outsourcing industry in India is great business for these families. The incomes are all profit with hardly any expenses. Standard of living in India is so modest that working in American and European companies mean almost all earnings can go for savings.
