BJP supports Advani and terms his Pakistan visit as a political and diplomatic success – the biggest joke of the millennium?

The drama continues to unfold. Now BJP on Thursday morning came out in support of LK Advani and termed his Pakistan visit as a political and diplomatic success. According to television reports, the new resolution states BJP's new stand, saying Advani's comments on Jinnah must be seen in its “entire context”. People in India especially BJP’s core constituency is asking – which context – name it?

The fact of the matter is he should have gone to Pakistan and made unnecessary irrelevant comments. That is not diplomacy – it is not really wise to insult your core constituency!

The party is divided on whether to support or oust Advani. People are concerned not just about a statement but also Advani and Vajpayees lack of leadership qualities.

It is time for BJP to outsource some leadership and bring in some young people who can provide right leadership for the party and for all in India.
