American lawmakers demand probe of human rights violation in the massacre of Uzbekistan’s eastern city of Andijan – Uzbek President refuses to meet!

American Senators are standing strong for justice, human rights and democracy. What really happened in Uzbekistan’s eastern city of Andijan has not been seen since the Serbian or Iraqi (under Saddam) massacres in modern times. Close to 500 civilians was outright slaughtered in closed range to suppress an up rise.

U.S. Senators John McCain, Lindsey Graham and John Sununu arrived in Uzbekistan on May 29 to demand that Tashkent submit to an international probe into the alleged May 13 massacre in the country's eastern city of Andijan. The senators called upon the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe to carry out such an investigation. Uzbek President Islam Karimov declined to meet with the senators.
