Germany tilting towards the right

It may be more pro-western Germany in coming years! The Germans are tending towards the right and may soon like to see a new Government.
A new opinion poll released May 27 in Germany shows Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder's popularity trailing behind Christian Democrat Party challenger Angela Merkel by 50 percent to 44 percent. According to a survey conducted May 24-26 by Electoral Research Group (ERG) on behalf of ZDF television that surveyed 1,162 people, 45 percent of the electorate would vote conservative and 30 percent would vote for the ruling Social Democratic Party. ERG also reported that 60 percent of Germans want a different government.
