Google exploded again on the upside today. We took full profit today and will not touch Google till further notice. Google can go up another 5 to 20 % but the probability of such a gain is much less and we decided not to participate it the final 15% on the upside.

It was a ride rarely seen – 150% in less than nine months. There are other reasons for some caution on Google which rose more than 5% just today. The strategy we followed was to use call options on Google. That protected us from the downside while allowing us to participate on the upside.

The reason for caution is the fact that we are observing that Google cannot serve advertisements in the peak hours of the Internet and as a result it is slowing the portals down. They do not serve ads in iFrame and hence the portals will have choose between becoming real popular and having Google serve the ads.
