Russia and America to conduct joint military exercise in Germany

Those who are thinking of a start of a new cold war may be really surprised with a news item. The U.S. and Russian armed forces will conduct joint exercises in Russia and Germany from May 23 to June 3, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported May 20. The exercises, codenamed Torgau-2005, will take place at the Solnechnogorsk range in Russia and at the Grafenwoehr range in southern Germany; 137 Russians and 139 Americans will participate.

This will remind every one specially the veterans of the Second World War the joint military campaign against Hitler and the Third Reich.

The relationship between US and Russia is going on the better side since the last meeting between Russian President Putin and US President George Bush.
