Priyanka the new seductive stunt lady
Priyanka Chopra is now the new stunt lady daring to perform not only sexually explicit seductive roles but also dare devil stunt shoots without a dummy.
Priyanka Chopra believes in falling to rise to greater heights. The dare-bare actress recently showed remarkable courage to do a 30 feet jump for Rakesh Roshan's Krrish. Much to the surprise of the film's unit, Priyanka refused any help from her duplicate when it came to shooting some dangerous stunts.
After the huge success of Aitraaz and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, the former Miss World now plays a schoolgirl in the sequel to the sci-fi thriller Koi Mil Gaya. According to her, the story moves forward and this time revolves around her.
While Priyanka won’t reveal much about her high-profile role opposite Hrithik Roshan, she is clearly elated about the death-defying drop. "This was the first time that I decided to do such a stunt. It was not an easy task as I had never before jumped from such a height. I took help from action director Tony Ching Siu-tung, who also taught Hrithik martial arts in Hong Kong for almost a month. Both Tony and his assistant jumped before I did. I took all the safety tips from them. Even then I was afraid when my turn came. However Hrithik did the stunt successfully and that really boosted my confidence. When I finally did it, I felt like the hero of the film," she exults. Now Priyanka is raring for more action.
She feels she can hold her own, no matter what. "I feel very, very confident after what I did. My heart was pounding like mad but when I hit the ground unhurt, I felt I could do some daredevil things in life too. Although I know it's risky, it never fails to thrill!" she quips.
