Ukraine will decide finally if it wants to go towards the West or towards the old big brother Russia. The election fiasco ended with a lot of back and forth juggling – even alleged poisoning of current President. But now Ukraine prepares for final showdown.
They call it moments of truth in the Ukrainian main streets. Ukraine will determine whether to pursue NATO and EU membership in a nationwide referendum, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko said May 12 in a televised address to the country. Ukrainians leaving in the eastern part of the country are worries about sanctity of the referendum given the fact that current Ukrainian Government favors NATO and EU.
