North Korea nuclear test – another hoax?
Sudhir Chadda
May 7, 2005

North Korea has prepared the ground ready for the test of the plutonium device. But satellite pictures, according to international think tanks are showing something strangely wrong. In simple, this may be a case of another bluff to bring Americans and other nations in the table and negotiate again some more foreign aids.

In the past North Korea have done similar things. A standard tactic of the regime is to create some sort of a panic among the nations and negotiate favorable terms. At a May 7 meeting of Asian and European foreign ministers in Kyoto, Japan, South Korea's Foreign Minister Ban Ki-Moon called on North Korea not to test nuclear weapons. Ban's remarks come amid speculation that Pyongyang is preparing to conduct a nuclear weapons test in the northeast part of North Korea.

Based on this North Korea may have obtained what it wanted any way.

North Korea has Nukes and also some delivery mechanism although it many are obsolete in contemporary standard. But without explicit permission from China they will never test or use it.
