If you thought Julie was the end, think twice. Neha is the rising superstar. He is now focusing on her western style and traditional sexy look to capture the Bollywood bandwagon.
According to some Internet sites,
Neha Dhupia has been getting more daring with each film she stars in. First she emerged in a bikini in her debut film Qayamat as if that
wasn't shocking enough, she proceeded to give the audiences even more to gasp about with her bold sexual scenes in the same film. Then her role in the highly acclaimed yet just as highly controversial film Julie Ms Dhupia proceeded to stun audiences by being filmed backless in Julie playing the role of a sex-worker. Now in her latest film Sheesha more controversy as a scene in the movie shows her in a bikini top, clasped against a bare-chested Sonu Sood.
This formula seems to work for Neha although she is quick to point out that the promos of a film are decided by my director, not by the lady herself.
Recently she said that as she had worn a bikini at the Miss India pageant, she had no inhibitions about being similarly clad on screen, questioning why the hue and cry.
Audiences will only see that she seems to be further creating an image bold and sexual and becoming famous for what she leaves off rather than her abundant acting skills.
Again recently she was reported as saying that she had no issues doing films where sex is justified, further saying that the audiences need to get real and accept such scenes because most probably within the next six months, such scenes will be a part of most films.
She is defiant in her responses flatly denying that she is exposing, saying that would be a step to far and that the day she felt that was the only way forward in her career would be the day she would stop.
The attraction of Sheesha was the film's script, insisting that her films all attack social issues, Sheesha, a thriller exciting to playing Sia in a double role in the film, a girl in love but driven by certain life altering more sinister events Sia.
Neha Dhupia says that she wants to broaden her acting abilities and play more serious roles but she will have a hurdle to overcome if she gets labelled as a skinflick actress, but she may soon be over the first hurdle a she is signed to play in Ekta Kapoor's comedy Kya Kool Hain Hum and Guddu Dhanoa's next film after Sheesha titled Siskiyaan soon to be released, both different and both new genre roles for Neha.
Will she succeed in with the challenges we certainly think so.
