Sudhir Chadda
Apr. 18, 2005

The Marxists extremists in Nepal called Maoists have continued their chaos and atrocities in Nepal.

Marxist militants in southern Nepal executed 10 adult and adolescent men April 15 in the village of Somani after they refused to join the militant group, government officials said on April 17. The militants also set nine homes on fire and destroyed four other dwellings with explosives.

Sources in Nepal point out to the fact that it is becoming unbearable for the people of Nepal.

The Royal Nepalese Army killed at least 50 Maoist rebels on April 8th in response to an overnight mortar attack by insurgents against an army base in Khara, Rukum district. Over 800 protesters have been arrested. An 11-day labor strike instigated by the Maoists ended on April 12. The Maoists have continued with their militancy.
