Indian stagflation is the root cause of currency devaluation. Investors find difficulty in finding value in Indian Inc.
The rupee today closed down by a whopping 52 paise at 55.46 against the dollar amid a sudden demand for the US currency after Fitch's downgrade of Spain worsened the Eurozone crisis.
The fundamentals of Indian currency are very weak. A massive devaluation like that in 1991 is inevitable unless something miraculous happen which is very unlikely.
