Who will India choose US or China? Here is the answer ... For a long time India has has chosen Russia as the most trust worthy partner.

Indian foreign policy based on a firm strategic relationship with Russia. That does not mean United States is any less important. For that matter China is also equally important.

Like Russia India may decide to stay put in a US China rivalry in defense and commerce. India wants a fantastic relationship with both US and China as long as its strategic relationship with Russia is untouched.

Russian annoyance to certain NATO and US decision does not make Russia or India any different in supporting China or US. Indian view point is similar to Russian : China and US have to sort things out among themselves in defense as well as commerce and trade.

Americans believe India is their "strategic tool" for keeping China in check. Neither Russia nor India agree to that view. Russia and India strongly believes Sanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) can eventually challenge the balance of power status of NATO in the world. NATO is not an rival of either Russia or India.

China and US can be fooled in trying to get India in their hypothetical block. The fact is India is independent and more aligned to Russia than anyone else.
