Former mighty Mubarak sentenced to life imprisonment
Firoz Khan
Jun. 3, 2012
Eighteen months back no one ever could believe that Mubarak the authoritarian ruler of Egypt could be jailed for life with his support from powerful nations.
The man ruled Egypt for 29 years with iron hand. People and families disappeared when they protested any of his whims and personal ruling styles. He was the favorite of the Arab League and the Western world standing bridge between the Palestinians and Israelis.
Mr Mubarak, 84 years old, lying on a hospital mobile bed and wearing sunglasses and a dark sweater in a defendants’ cage, did not express any feeling at the Dietitian courtroom throughout the hour long hearing.
It may serve a lesson for all in India who are manipulating democracy creating farce of FIR, CBI, Indian court system to funnel billions of dollars of scam money into offshore accounts including Swiss Banks.
