The way IPL has gone, it is time BCCI ask for Amesty to Kapil and not the other way around say most prominent Indian cricketers.
As the controversy over Kapil Dev’s omission from the list of IPL beneficiaries rages on, the BCCI on Thursday said it has nothing against the all-rounder and he was ignored for the cash award because of a “technical issue”. Following Kapil Dev’s views on the issue in the Hindustan Times
on May 29, IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla said Kapil Dev was not eligible for the monetary benefit. “As far as Kapil Dev is concerned, BCCI is not against him. But there is a technical issue. He has not accepted the amnesty proposal (by the BCCI). Technically, he is out of this benefit ambit,” Shukla said.
