New Boeing Technology Could boost aerospace engineering to a new level

Boeing has taken the wraps off its new three dimensional technology that creates dynamic pictures that look like art, but serve a serious business purpose. The system is being used to scan 747s under construction in Everett, WA. By accurately determining exactly where everything is in a plant, it could allow the use of more robotics, but the technology could also find applications on spacecraft where measurements in docking spaceships are critical.
