Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Nato’s secretary-general wants international community to support the $4bn budget for security in Afghanistan after 2014 when NATO forces will exit gracefully from Afghanistan.

“There will be no rush for the exits...This summit is not a pledging conference but, nevertheless, a number of countries have announced substantial contributions to the Afghan security forces, so I’m optimistic.” said the NATo official.

François Hollande’s election campaign was based on a major theme - combatr mode of NATO troops must ened by this year. He reiterated his firm stand on the issue in G8 meeting on Saturday and also with Obama Administration in the Whitehouse.

Mr Hollande was notg at ease with White House learning that the plan includes some NATO troops aiding the still ill prepared Afghan ground force.
