The ambitions bill, part of the government's bid to legislate a clutch of anti-graft measures during Parliament's Winter session and shake off the deepening perception that it lacks the will to combat corruption, also provides a window to what the Lokpal could look like.

According to Hazare team, this may be an attempt to widen the scope of the bill to make the debate more time consuming allowing a possibility that the bill is dumped in the oblivion.

Many political think tanks believe, this twin bill could have been done after the big fries at the ministerial level is taken care of.
