As I predicted yesterday, Pakistan’s Butt, Malik on cruise control as Pakistan going for a win on this one

Pakistan is the three to one favorite in the betting market on the Internet. I mentioned that yesterday and Pakistan is going for this one. At the time of writing this piece, Pakistan was 291 for six in 37 overs. If they can reach 350 or above all the pressure will be on India.

According to media reports from Jamshedpur, Salman Butt scored his second ODI century against India even as Pakistan lost two quick wickets in the third ODI at Keenan Stadium in Jamshedpur on Saturday. Pakistan was 234/3 at the end of 40 overs.

Malik on 100 runs off 114 balls was at the crease with Youhana on nine runs.

Skipper Inzamam fell prey to Ashish Nehra for a rapid fire 24, which included one hefty six.

Sohaib Malik, after smashing 75 runs off 79 balls, was trapped by Sehwag, when Tendulkar caught him at the deep mid-wicket.

Earlier, Shahid Afridi fell early to Ashish Nehra, opener Salman Butt and Shoaib Malik defied Indian attack by piling on the runs, thick and fast.

Skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq had won the toss for the first time in the series and elected to bat first against India here at the Keenan Stadium on Saturday, Afridi fell yet again trying to play a loose shot.

Nehra got the better off the maverick opener as Dravid pocketed the catch.

Pakistan has made two changes. Younis Khan and Danish Kaneria are back in the playing eleven. Irfan Pathan was included in the Indian playing XI, replacing the injured Balaji.

The Indians have a dismal record at this ground, their win against South Africa in 1999-2000 is their only one in seven tries.
