The heat is on – Pakistan may win this one in Jamshedpur – Betting market favors Pak even for the series

The batting heat is on. After ongoing batting onslaught India and Pakistan both are busy planning for the Jamshedpur ODI. Dravid came out and said that agreesive batting is what India will continue to focus on.

Something interesting is happening in the betting market. My friend Sayeed who has some inner access to Inzy and others say, Pakistan is going to win the series. Well you may think that is crazy. But every time Sayeed said India will win, India did win. The betting market is also predicting strong show by pakistan. India was the favorite by 2 to 1 till the last match as I said in my lst article. Now believe it or nor, pakistan is the favorite by 3 to 1 for even the series.

What may have happened is that Indian players bay be over confident by now. And Pakistan players are grinding their drustration inside them. According to Inzy Pakistan will also win.

But India seems to be in super shape says experts.

According to media reports, after the roasting at Kochi and Visakhapatnam, the unrelenting one-day circus moves to the steel city of Jamshedpur, to yet another belter of a wicket saturated with runs. Another 300-plus total beckons though, interestingly; teams batting second here have won five of the seven matches played.

That is one statistic, though, that won''t fool the rival captains and the one winning the toss is definitely going to bat first.

If playing conditions _ mercifully, humidity is down to 15 per cent _ are the same for both teams, the onus is squarely on Pakistan to come back in the series. As their vice-captain Younis Khan _ back in the team_ admitted. But he sounded bullish about the prospects. ``We are used to it. We came back in the Tests, and we can do it here as well," he said.

For that, Pakistan will have to make some tough choices besides taking their catches and converting the half-chances that come their way. The important selection decision they will have to make is on Shoaib Malik, who can''t bowl because of ICC restrictions, but, according to coach Bob Woolmer and skipper Inzamam, commands a place in the side on the strength of his batting.
