Iraqi authorities uncovered a mass grave in al-Tarf, Diyala province, containing the bodies of 153 victims of al Qaeda operations, local police said Feb. 12.

The discovery comes as a result of a confession from an al Qaeda terrorist captured in Baquba two weeks ago, Diyala provincial police chief Gen. Abdul Hussein al-Sahamari said. Al-Tarf is located 20 kilometers (about 12 miles) of Buqaba.
