Musharraf and his toys - America and China keep the general happy

It was first the American F16s. Now it is the Chinese JF-17s. These are new toys Musharraf just acquired. America and China has to provide these to keep the general happy and preoccupied. He also got some frigates with helicopters too.

It is probably the biggest joke of the millennium. F16s or JF-17s fighter aircrafts make Mush and his Pakistan military happy. We have heard of various kinds of adult toys, but never heard about such costly ones though.

Pakistan keeps waking up now and then to shout out about Kashmir. In the mean time now we know they want control over water in the Indus River, Kashmir is a secondary matter.

Pakistani people eventually found the truth. They want to have good relations with their brothers and sisters in the east. They want economic prosperity, better jobs, better life – the “true American Dream” and not just some toys.

Unfortunately India has to match these toys one for one just in case Mush goes crazy as he did in 1999 before the Kargil war. This time probably Pakistani people will stop his adventure right in Pakistan.

India should focus on economic progress and try to share the fruits of education, hard work with the people of Pakistan and the rest of South Asia. Some true leadership beyond “Toy Playing” is needed.

Chinese leadership visiting India has no toy to offer India. They are meeting the real adult member of the family. They like work with India to form a Free Trade Agreement to dominate the world commerce and trade. They are interested in partnering with India to utilize India’s software expertise. India also needs China for its capabilities in hardware side. Both of them realize that energy scarcity will drive world politics for the next twenty to thirty years – not F16s or JF-17s or any other similar toys.
