The Russian Federation is interested in implementing a number of large-scale projects in Afghanistan, Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Andrei Budnik said at a round-table meeting in Islamabad. Russian companies are particularly interested in the reconstruction of Afghanistan's Slang Pass and a number of oil and natural gas sector enterprises in the north. Budnik said the implementation of joint projects will further regional interaction, while developing relations between the Russian Federation and Pakistan. He also said national reconciliation in Afghanistan is impossible without Pakistan's participation.
